Based on a report recently updated by UN Convention on Biological Diversity, it is estimated environmental damage and biodiversity loss in ecosystem ranges from 2 to 4.8 trillion dollars yearly. If we do not take action in preventing further damages, not only the cost will be astronomical high, we would not leave a green future for our future generation.

So how do we save energy and preserve the future? One way is by using wind power. Wind power is one of the major solutions to our energy crisis. It is clean, reliable and cheap. In this article, we will discuss why wind power is valuable to mankind.

Wind power is extremely reliable and do not cause extra pollutants in the air. A well maintained wind farm will have a down time of less than 1%. These wind farms can store energy and therefore produce power even when there is no wind blowing. Wind power is also 100% clean and there is no waste. Unlike nuclear plants, you can stay perfectly fine near wind turbines and there is no need to worry about chemical spills or mutation effects.

On the economical side, wind power is easy and very cost effective to set up. All farmers need is an open land for building these wind turbines. A wind farm will not cause dangers to any vegetation and livestock. Farmers can rent or sell the energy back to power companies. More job opportunities will be created as manpower will be needed to operate these wind farms. At the end of the day, more jobs will be created and the economy of local farms will improve.

Wind energy is 100% renewable. We will never run out of wind and the more energy we need is easily obtainable by creating more wind turbines. Price of wind energy will not soar up based on market like oil and we do not have to worry about greedy politician controlling the wind market because it is available everywhere.
